“Karl was a great running guide while I was in NYC. I've run here on my own, but got so much more out of my runs thanks to all he knows about NYC. You could tell he loves running and the city. I also appreciate the fact he came out on a very snowy morning when the rest of the city was indoors on a treadmill. You all offer a unique service to runners visiting the city. Not only do you get a run, but you also get a personal tour guide who shares their passion for the city and sport with you. Thank you Karl! “Thanks to you and please forward also my thanks again to Spencer. I really enjoyed the run and Spencer had very good knowledge about NY and NY history. So it was very informative. By the way I'm a quite good runner (I think) but could never talk all the time in parallel as Spencer did! My respect! I also informed my US colleagues about the run yesterday morning, so they were quite impressed. “Thanks very much, I duly met Frank last Friday and had an absolutely wonderful time. The NYC running tour was a highlight of my trip! I did about 5 miles and chose the route around Brooklyn Bridge and downtown Manhatan which was fabulous. I would like to praise Frank who was really lovely and went at my very slow pace, he was helpful, well informed, charming and a great running companion, an asset to your company, please do pass on my thanks to him again.I won't hesitate to recommend City Running Tours and look forward to my next one!
“My experience in San Francisco was amazing. John was great, very informative and helpful.
“Thanks for being there for us moms that can't run that fast and want to go to NYC with our daughters!!! Thanks for taking care of our little runners. What a great deal. I will refer you to everyone. “This was my first time in New York and I had no idea on where to run. The tour guide was genuinely friendly, knowledgeable and an awesome tour guide! As a female runner I felt very safe on the run, which is important to me running in unfamiliar places. Any runner wanting to tour New York would love this tour! A workout and a tour all in one incredible! The tour guide provided a safe route full of interesting sights, history, sounds and wonderful aromas of New York! Our tour guide also took a few pictures, which will be sent via email! I can't wait to see them! I highly recommend this tour to other runners! Oh by the way, you set the pace too! Give it a try, you won't be disappointed! “It was great...saw places I would not have seen otherwise, felt safe and stayed on track with my running. “Signing up for this tour was the best thing I could have done. I'm from a small town in Indiana, have NO sense of direction and was traveling on business to NY City for the first time. My stay was short and had little time between meetings. This was the best way to sight see, de-stress and get some exercise. I felt safe and secure, and enjoyed every step of the route. Having a personal tour guide was incredible. I wasn’t sure at first because I'm kind of the quiet type (especially while running), I would recommend it to anyone. You will not regret it. City Running Tours bent over backwards to make sure my travel to the big apple was complete. Running over the Brooklyn Bridge was one of the highlights of my run and it was great to be able to stop and have a picture taken of the experience. Thanks Again Michael!!! Next tour.... Chicago. “What a wonderful experience! I feel like I really got to learn about and experience New York from those who know it. I got to set the pace and enjoy. Big FUN! The tour is personalized. It is like going on a run with a well-informed friend. It is conversational, so I was not "lectured to" therefore the information learned was relevant to me. My guide took photos on our run that are now wonderful memories. I was met and dropped back at my hotel, so there was no chance of my getting lost. We rode on the subway, which added to the experience. I received a goodie bag which included a great looking shirt that is actually a women's size, so it fits! I hope to be a repeat customer in the near future. “This was a highlight of out trip! It was a great way to start the day and see the city, while learning about it at the same time. Although we left the choosing to you, I liked that we had the option to choose the sights. Our tour guide was the best. He really enjoyed running and most of all knew a lot about the city and loved his job. “Loved it. Great customer service. Loved that I could get in a fun longer run (16-mi.) during marathon training season while on a quick trip to NYC. Wanted to see the ins and outs of Central Park and surrounding parks/water, which I now know you really can only see on foot and with a knowledgeable guide--Coleman was a great guide (informative and attentive to my pace/distance/walk/water needs). Great park/city run as a visitor (without any safety concerns of going alone) . . . and it's been a blast telling people about it. Great for visitors or locals. “I ran with Lauren, one of the guides and she was fantastic. We went from Times Square down to Tribeca, ran along through Battery Park, past Ground Zero, the NY Stock Exchange, up to and over Brooklyn Bridge .... along through Brooklyn and over Manhattan Bridge, up through Little Italy and back to the hotel. Lauren ran at a good pace and varied the pace to suit me; she was informative and fun to talk to. It was the perfect way to get rid of any jetlag and a great thing to do as soon as you arrive in NY as it gives you a quick snapshot of the major attractions around the city. “We'll definitely be doing this the next time we visit NYC, Chicago or DC. The guide was very knowledgeable, and we learned so much more about the city even though we'd been to NYC several times before. Definitely worth the money. “I am a repeat customer. I did one of the running tours of NYC last year, and another one this year. This is absolutely the #1 way to see and experience a city. Your own personal tour, with a local, you can see any site you want to see, on your schedule, and get great exercise while doing it. They provide water, run your pace, and will even stop for photo opportunities along the way.... all the while learning interesting facts and fun bits about the city. From a runner's perspective, you see so much more than you could possibly see on a bus or in a car, and of course you cover more ground than you do by simply walking. “I signed up for a running tour of Chicago and loved it! “My running tour in Chicago was worth my money as well as my time. Gloria was my tour guide and she did a great job catering this tour to my needs. This was an excellent was to see the city and get exercise all for a reasonable price. Don't hesitate to try City Running Tours on your next vacation. Not only is the guide there to take pictures for but he or she also carries your water in her own backpack. What a bonus! “We recently did an afternoon run. Our guide Elizabeth was great; she helped us pick out a route beforehand (since I lived here I wanted to do something different but had no idea what) and helped ease our minds about being able to keep up on the run. We had a fantastic time and learned some fun new facts we spent the rest of our weekend telling everyone we saw. In addition to being informative and a healthy activity to do with out of town guests- they take pictures that you are given digitally for no cost and give you a goody bag and carry water, keys, etc for you. We really enjoyed it and would heartily recommend this to anyone we know. It's a great price for a tailor made tour guide experience and a great way to take advantage of DC's generally temperate weather! “Great way to get introduced to DC - my guide easily matched my pace and was well informed and interesting! I always worry about fitting in a run while on vacation- this was the perfect solution. It was worth every penny. “The experience was fantastic! My guide provided lots of interesting information and did not go above or below my capabilities. I want to go back to DC just to do another running tour! “I loved my run through Chicago. If word of mouth is any good, mine was big enough, singing the praises. Have now passed it on to my local associates in my running circle. What a great way to see the sites. Katy was wonderful. I really enjoyed her commentary and company during the run. Lots of fun. I'll be back. “Thank you for the great run!! I am from Seattle so I am used to running in the rain. People are going to think I'm crazy when I tell them I ran across the Brooklyn Bridge in the pouring down rain, but I thought it was awesome! I will definitely recommend City Running Tours!! “It was AWESOME!!!!!! Maggie was extremely versed in the history of the neighborhoods of Chicago. We have been to Chitown several times and this was our first running trip together. We did a North Face and Niketown group runs and we gave Maggie the low down, pretty disappointing was our experience with them. It was fun to see Chicago but having a running guide (Maggie) who was very into the sport made it even better. We will be back in Chicago for the Marathon but agreed we will book a short run just to visit with Maggie again as a repeat. We ended up back into Old Town and that was credit to her educating us. “Wanted to note that Stephen was amazing and he made what could have been a wet, dreary experience into something really great. We had a blast, and would consider doing another tour- perhaps a second time with Stephen! “Karl and crew were great! I not only had a great dissection of the city (actually saw the Statue of Liberty - finally, my 5th trip), but great conversation throughout the run as well. “The run was awesome. Kevin did a great job and it was everything I had hoped for. What a great way to see the City! “I have nothing but praise for both my guide (Megan) and City running tours. The tour was an excellent way to see downtown New York, as well as a good workout. Megan was very knowledgeable and helped me to understand more of your city than pacing the streets on my own or sitting in a sightseeing coach. I will be highly recommending City running tours to runners planning a trip to New York. “Shannon & I had a fantastic time in New York and experienced many things while we were there. Even so, the running tour was a distinct highlight. It's just a great way to see the city. “Thanks so much! It was one of the best things I have ever done. Liam was great and he was a perfect match for me. I will definitely plan to run with you again. I have just told my running friends it was one of the best things I ever have done. “Thanks for the great running tour of New York and for the follow- up email. As I mentioned last week, your running tour was the highlight of my trip and I made a point of sharing that with the concierge. Your concept and execution of these running tours is brilliant and I will definitely be calling again as I continue both business and leisure travel in hopes of taking more running tours. “Thank you very much for the running tour. Katy and I really enjoyed it and felt we got to see a side of the city that we wouldn't have otherwise seen. “IT WAS THE BEST RUN OF MY LIFE! Lauren is very fun :) I actually just came across this while checking on the Westin website, but it was a very pleasant surprise. Thanks again, I will definitely be recommending this to my friends! “Thank you for a wonderful experience. Brian and I had a great run, and were able to see and learn so much about NYC. I will recommend this to everyone I know. “Just a quick note to say how much I enjoyed my run this morning. Karl was a great guide, he knew so much! I think he thought I was crazy though at my excitement at running past Carrie Bradshaw's house. “Thank you so much! The tour was so nice and Mark was great. He was an excellent runner and also extremely knowledgeable. He knew everything about everything at the park! I can honestly say it was better than I expected it to be and also a huge highlight of my weekend trip to NYC. I will recommend Mark and city running tours to all my friends/family that are runners and planning to visit. I also plan to sign up again should I be in a city you guys do your running tours! “I really enjoyed running with both you and Spencer. Running in the places I travel allows me a unique way to get to know the environment. Usually I am a bit scared though because I am a woman running alone in a questionable area. Your company provided me with security, companionship and interpretations of what we were seeing. Thank you so much. I will recommend your tours to my running friends and you will be hearing from me again in the future. “We were in New York August 1st-4th and decided to do the Greenwich Village tour. On the flight home my boyfriend and I couldn't stop talking about how great our running tour was. It was one of the best things we did in New York. We would have never found most of those places on our own and if we did find them we would have never known what they were or the history behind them. We actually went back to the village that night to check out one of the great clubs that our guide suggested. The only regret we had was forgetting money at the hotel to tip our guide. He was phenomenal! Thank you very much! “Thanks to City Running Tours for my run Saturday. It was a perfect way for me to spend a few free hours while in NYC for a quick trip--and the cost was quite reasonable for the tour and memorable run (and much cheaper than shopping would have been:)). Plus, great customer service in scheduling/confirming, etc., great guide (Coleman certainly is knowledgeable about the city and a thoughtful, talented runner too, and as I told him, I loved that it was all about me--my pace, my distance, my desired locations (the ins and outs of Central Park plus water-side running)--and he had my back (checking on my comfort level, gladly walking when I chose to)--gotta love that). Besides the interesting tour info and added peace of mind (I had no concerns about getting lost or about safety, as I had mentioned were two concerns I surely would have had alone), it was a most enjoyable (just my speed) training run. I'll look forward to scheduling another tour sometime (maybe even in my home area in DC--it'd be great to learn a new route and enjoy the guide's info about it even as a local runner, especially when training for the long runs). Thanks again! “I can't even begin to tell you how much I enjoyed seeing the sights of the city in your company. You truly made it a special experience that I will not forget. “Karl did a great job. He met me in the hotel lobby on time and successfully navigated the subway system out to Brooklyn for the start of the 8-mile run. It was a very good run and Karl did an exceptional job explaining the history of different parts of the city. Your tour is a unique way to see New York City. I will definitely call on you again the next time I am in town. “Despite the rainy August morning, the guide was incredibly upbeat and never once had a negative comment about the weather. What could have turned out to be a difficult soggy run - was instead a ton of fun! Together we had a fantastic run and learned a lot about the history of New York. The service and attention to detail was much appreciated. A highlight of the trip, and wouldn't hesitate to recommend. “Thanks again – it’s well worth the money and I'd definitely do another route when I come back!!!!! “I just wanted to drop you a note to let you know how much I enjoyed my run on Saturday morning - it far exceeded my expectations and was certainly a highlight of my trip! I would highly recommend City Running Tours to anyone visiting New York - what a great way to get the mileage in while seeing the sights.“ “I have never been so appreciative about a business as I am about City Running Tours. We were only in Chicago for 48 hours and would not have had the opportunity to see or learn about even half of what we did in 1 hour with you. |
