CHICAGO'S FRONT YARD TOUR - $30

Run through Millennium Park and Grant Park, known as Chicago's Front Yard. See the famous Buckingham Fountain and Cloud Gate and we'll also take you to "off the path" sites like the John Logan Sculpture and Agora, all the while giving you the surprising history of how Chicago's parks came to be. We'll snap plenty of photos along the way, including one with the city skyline behind you. Come see what Daniel Burnham called "Paris on the Prairie".

THE BURNHAM PLAN TOUR - $30

"Make no little plans" wrote Daniel Burnham. What followed was an ambitious undertaking that became a blueprint for city planning the world over. We'll take you across the beautiful Chicago River, and run along the Magnificent Mile. You'll also visit Chicago's #1 tourist attraction, the historic Navy Pier. Come see The Burnham Plan in action today  and learn the amazing history of how Chicago was developed at the beginning of the 20th Century.

STREETERVILLE RUN - $30

Run with us though this upscale neighborhood, which lies between Chicago's Mag Mile and its beautiful lakefront, and you'll see some of the city's most iconic architecture. We'll point out the Hancock Tower, Mies van der Rohe's Lake Shore Apartments, and the Chicago Water Tower (one of the only structures to survive the Great Chicago Fire of 1871). We'll show you the former homes of Oprah and Hugh Hefner's Playboy, and where Siskel and Ebert gave so many thumbs up. You'll learn about the area's colorful transformation from swamp to swank, including the story of Chicago's legendary squatter, "Captain" George Streeter, who called the land The District of Lake Michigan.

UPTOWN ANDERSONVILLE BEER RUN - $40

Come with us to one of Chicago's most historic neighborhoods: Uptown. Run to the Green Mill Lounge and learn about its connection to Al Capone. Also see "Little Vietnam", Simon's Tavern, The Bryn Mawr Historic District and Essanay Studios. Along the way we provide you with some great history about the area and its connection to Swedish American history. The tour ends with a craft beer at the Hopleaf Bar in Andersonville. One craft beer is included in the price of admission and all participants receive a 10% discount on all non-nutritional and sale items at The Runners Edge.

HAYMARKET RIOT & BREWERY TOUR - $40

Anarchism and architecture are at the heart of this 4-mile tour.  Along the way you'll see the The Willis Tower, Dearborn Station at Printer's Row, Greektown, Union Station, Old St. Patrick's Cathedral and The Palmer House Hotel, as well as the memorial site of the 1886 Haymarket Riot, which stirred labor movements around the world.  We end our tour at Haymarket Pub and Brewery.  One Speakerswagon® Pilsner Beer is included in the price of admission.
